He has decided to sail around the world in a sailboat. She wants to talk with her mother every day. With GPS, he'll be back in less than a year. With a sextant he could have made it in three months. But then, why leave? The whole point is to get away to the Tahitian maidens of Gauguin. The goal is not to have a goal. Maybe he will tie up her mother with conversation and she will slip away to the surf beaches of Australia. Or, Tonga? I have it on good authority of a lady from New Zealand that the choices are worth making.

Great scene! I hate"goodbye"- never use it. BTW, Only ones I ever used back in the day, was purple Owsley & Mr Natural blotter - never seen microdot- green or other wise ;-)
