Description
Well, while I was waiting for something to render, I started messing around with Bogwoppet's space kit. It was pretty keen, but I wanted a ship for it, so I rendered the Sulaco really quick and pasted it in (my other project had finished rendering, but I wasn't happy with it)... And what you see is what I came up with. Pretty much none of it is my doing, since Bogwoppet did all the work, but I like the Sulaco, so I thought I'd post it for the hell of it...
Hope you like it...

[Edit: To clear up any possible confusion, I didn't make the Sulaco model. Unfortunately, I do not know who did... Let me know if you do...]

That's one huge ship!

That came out very well, but a few tips are in order. Look where the sun is. That means the planet, moon, and the spaceship would be illuminated differently & and identically. Darken a room, take a flashlight and shine it at some random objects placed in its beam, and you will see how things look. Also, there definitely will be no stars in the shadow areas of these objects. They would be blotted out by their bodies. This should help make your future space images even more accurate, in addition to looking very pretty, such as this one.

I know what you mean, it is a great model. It is brokered (free) by Vanishing Point. Made by an artist under the name Helgard. I think. Anyhoo, the light is a bit off. You'd do good in oving the main light behind the ship, and line it up with the sun. My personal prefrence for space-scenes is high contrast lightning (no atmosphere for the ambient light to bounce off. easy fixable.)Maybe with a weak fill to bring out the wonderful detail of the model.
