Description
this eagle ia around 30-36 inches long and weighs in at a whopping 11.6lbs and has a wingspan of 6.26 - 8.5feet. they are basically grey in colour with flecks of black and white with brown under wings. they inhabit sub-saharan africa preferring to live on the savannas. its diet is no surprise is meat and they eat young birds, bustards, guineafowl,hares, babboons, mongooses, hyraxes, but have also been known to take poultry even goats. they build a nest in trees and is reused every year, being 6.6feet wide and 3 feet deep and in this nest they lay 1 egg every 2 years.

Cor wonderful POV thank you, 1 egg every two years that's a long time between each egg. Going by the size of him i'm not surprised they take goats too, must be a struggle though.

i somehow doubt it, lol they are smaller than the american bald eagle, but not by much. they are gorgeous though

Only 1 egg every 2 years? How do they manage to keep from being endangered or are they? What a magnificent bird and you've really brought it out in great detail. Love the food on the "mouth." Great shot! and great info.
