Description

This was taken at a place called Canada, in the New Forest at the weekend, one minute we we're walking to the car and only saw 1 donkey in the distance eating away at a shrub, the next minute these 3 donkeys surrounded me lol, they seem to come from nowhere hoping for a juicy apple i bet lol.

Yes quite a few Mick, Alan included. Great close up, I like how the one farthest away seems to be running up towards you, you can almost see him thinking,'Hey up! Whats going on? Am I missing some grub?'. Love it, I have only driven through the New Forest once and did not have my camera. I was amazed how many four legged friends were about, I said I would go again but not got round to it yet. Bravo!!!!!

I can't say donkeys are gentle as I've had a few meetings of tense stubborness where push was about to become shove... but they do have sweet faces and that is often deceptive and contrary to their true personalities. :-) These really are very nice looking animals, although if they are used to being fed small treats by visitors, Iimagine they can get a little irritated if they don't get what they want too many times in a day. Wonderful shot. Good story.
