Description

Hello all! This is the tree growing next to the ruin church. I stood beneath it and looked up, and THIS is what I saw. This picture is a disaster technically speaking, but these colours and the light shining through just enchants me, so I had to show you guys. Perhaps I should post work it in Photoshop, making it an abstract image, but keeping these colours? Advice on that? Well, hope you are having a good week. :)

lol This is exactly what I was doing yesterday before the storms came to knock the leaves off! My thoughts exactly as I looked up at my trees, how abstract the whole image looks! I like this dramatic shot~ Lots of vibrant color, line and contrast~ =)

This is amazing. Like an abstract stained glass window. Change nothing, perfect like this. Love the strong orange color highlighted by a sun.

Eva, please, please don't change a thing about this image. I can only speak for myself, but I believe that photography - like any other medium of art - should be about the image itself, not some technical aspects not everyone may agree on to begin with. The colors and contrasts are brilliant (both figuratively and literally), and if that is what you saw, and what is important to you, you should leave it as it is. If you want this image to be something it is not right now, change it. But do not do so to satisfy some sort of "standard" for good images that you feel you should satisfy unless any possible change makes it a better image to you.

A surreal look definitely, but great as is. Personally, I tend to think of postwork as creating a different kind of art than pure photography, so I'd not change a thing. Or... if you do choose to alter it, do a lot of postwork so it no longer looks like this photograph at all :-) perhaps making it look more like the stained glass that a few comments mentioned it already has the characteristic of. But definitely keep the original!

"Disaster"? "Technically speaking"? LOL! Who needs these? I wholeheartedly agree with many of the above comments. You need to decide: are you an artist or you are a reporter? Nothing wrong with either but it calls for a different approach. At least that's how I see it. Basically, what it means to me is that you either aim at showing the "objective" world (if there even is such a thing) or you want people to see the world through your eyes. I think it's a wonderful photo. :-)
