Description

you know, sometimes you look at a painting and the first thing you think is: -hmmm, nice radiosity!- After I saw a copy of the painting "rooms by the sea" set as desktop wallpaper of a friend of mine, I could not resist and had to run home and try to remake it. Made with sketchup and vue6 - this is not an attempt to make an exact copy of the original, but what i could remeber. No gunships this time, nor reflective spheres over water, neither slutty poser pin-ups. The original picture emanates an harrowing solitudo I didn't want to break. Maybe I'll make a variation with the floor covered with grass and flowers. thank you for the stop. /matteo

I really like this work. Don't know what the original looks like, but your version is superb. Your construction of the room with all the little details such as the door knob and lock in the door frame is well though out. You also did a nice job on the lighting. Very nice.
