Description
A photo of my deceased Siberian Husky female named Nahgee; or Shadow.
This photos was taken with a 35mm camera and scanned into the pc. Sorry for any poor quality.
A poem for her I wrote:
"Nahgee's Gift"
My shadow, my beautiful best friend;
sometimes like my canine child-
but always more so my ever patient teacher.
How can I sing praises to one so worthy,
but who speaks not my language?
Somehow you always Know.....
The wisdom of an ancient race in your mismatched eyes;
the unfaultering courage in your arctic heart;
the undying loyalty you extend to me....
You protect me with your acute, instinctual senses;
you accompany me with an eager will;
you entrust me with your precious life
and you love me in the most sacred of ways:
A powerful but silent, unconditional love like no other......

A great shot of a gorgeous and healthy looking dog, you have captured her in a perfect showdog standing position. My partner used to breed and show Rough Collies ("Lassie" dogs) All her old photos would have the dogs in this position. And yes It is wonderful the loyalty they keep. Thanks for sharing.

Nahgee was a beautiful dog, and remember she will never leave you - She is in your mind, your heart and has wrapped herself around your very soul!! My thoughts are with you at this time. This is an excellent capture of your beloved dog - hugs Jane xx

She sure is beautiful. Sorry about the loss. I had my Siberian Husky for 17 years and was so glad I had some pictures to remember her by. Your poem is so true!
