Description
Rubble Under Ruins
Forever might not be gone
Ways will find a way
How things can really change
Not really be the same
Drift away in pieces
Splits apart in ways
Life underneath
Like you
Like me
Rubble begins to fall
Lightest of touch
Rummage through the wreckage
Plays tricks on the mind
A life of confusion
…and empty
Stormy will it rain
Trembles life anew
Disappearing in and out
Soft connection to silence
Windblown from the heart
Spreads life itself inside
With gentle hands
Warmth and laughter
Kisses will show and tell
Rubble under ruins
Anew life begins
A fine thread of silk
Woven underneath
Builds back the way

In my humble opinion, you can't go back. Some things are just best left alone. This makes me think of Atlantis. Don't ask me why! lol q-: Nice work! (:

Wonderful image, sweet Linda and heartfelt work. It is good to speak what we are thinking, it gets it all outside of us. I always find this helpful to me. Gentle hugs. Diane. xx

Ah, this must be the one you were telling me about Linda! :-) Hazy and mysterious as if drifting in and out of a dream: a solid structure yet impermanent at the same time - a wonderful illustration of your poem! I love the line "Soft connection to silence" - sublime! 5 stars from me!
