Description
It's not hard to know that Christmas is getting close, now that the garden centres and many shops are awash with so many pretty Christmas Cacti, (zygocactus, I believe).
I was very taken with the almost translucent quality of this one.

I killed my Christmas Cactus earlier this year. Its a tallent I have. LOL. I have heard from Flannelman that his CC is full of blooms and I figure he'll be posting some of his famous CC shots soon. But wow! You found one already blooming and so beautifully captured its grace.

This is a most awesome composition, but I'm seeing an effect here that I'm puzzling over whenever I attempt to take a similar photo. I know, in my case, I'm a novice at selecting from among the amazing list of features on my camera; so I have an automatic focus competing with my manual attempt to focus. I'm going to keep practicing, though, 'til I get it, cause I see on this community some of the most beautiful works you are creating.
