Description
...a pathway through a plantation - larches in autumn colours to the left and the evergreen pines to the right.
Inspired by a photo from the Photography Gallery here at Renderosity (but an old one).
Mainly an exercise in tree-design and lighting, the most difficult thing here was to model fairly looking larch-trees (in Onyxtree). But this version looks OK IMHO.
Vue 5 Infinite render, volumetric atmosphere. Touch-ups with Photoshop.
All objects & textures by me.

First let me just say how much I enjoy your Vue landscapes and how envious of them I am. That being said, the only critique I have is that the pines seem too uniform on the one side. They're all about the same size and shape. Nature abhors a straight line and it seems like you have a straight line at the top of the trees. But, as I said, your skills in Vue far surpass mine. Still, it's an excellent pic.

Excellent work, I can see me riding my bike along a quiet road like this. I like the tire tracks also,nice touch. Always that extra in your images that make them stand out from the pack.

Ecellent exercise for sure ! If I dare, I would have say that the undergrows fo pines is free of grass, because very few plants but fern can grow there, and a lot of pines and broken branches lay under thiese trees ! It was just a perfectionnist writing, so humble , confronted at such an excellent scene !
