This brings back memories of the Catalina's taking off from Rose Bay in Sydney harbour...many, many moon's ago ! Unfortunately they stopped the service and these magnificent flying boats graced the Australian skies no more ! Great capture & ~Cheers~ :o)

Great pic! I remember them in a sort of 'dump' at Whitecliff recreation ground, no health and safety rules then, we could climb all over them.

The most annoying part is that we went home before the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight arrived. I still have no pictures of a Lancaster. :-(

I have not seen one of these in person for many years.One use to fly into the local airport, but no more at least do not see it.outstanding capture
