I just adore your "dark, blurry edges" style, it really draws the eye in where you want it. This mouse is so cute, and you know, most people think that's enough to make a good shot. They're wrong, and this great shot proves it. This isn't just a cute little animal, it's a well-executed photo with great fall colors and a wonderful composition (the narrow DOF on the bark and the blurred leaves in the background make it feel very multi-dimensional). If this were a shot of a sewer rat it'd still be awesome. On a somewhat shallower note, the little dude really does look like he's about to bust out a dance number.

Nailed it - if i remember the other shot rightly you were concerned about his body not being in focus (which was fine imo), and this is better because you got that focus you wanted... nice one!
