Description

I found this phone in the freebie section and loved it immediately! My first thought was H.G. Wells Time Machine (hence the background picture). The mouse was a very last minute addition...just because. : ) Rendered in C4D. But...there's just something compositionaly about this render that bothers me...I just don't know what it is. Maybe someone can point it out for me. Anyway thanks for looking!!

I looked to see what event happened 24 April 1066. Halley's Comet appeared at this time in England and was felt to be a bad omen. The comet's appearance in 1066 was recorded on the Bayeux Tapestry. Also Chaco Native Americans in New Mexico recorded this 1066 event in their petroglyphs Anyways, nice composition!

Just hope that little creature won't get zapped. Nice details and texture work!

Great image with a lot of details. Especially the textures you used.

Very nice render. Clean and sharp. Compositionally, there are two things that, IMVHO, could be improved: a) the top crop was made too low, immediately above the phone, I think it would be better if it was a bit higher b) the phone (which is the main focus of attention) is in the exact center of the image, whereas according to the "books of composition", the object in focus shouldnt be in the center. I think compositionally it would have been better to place the phone further on the right, to visually balance with the background. As it is now, the picture is unbalanced (more visual "weight" on the left).
