Description

Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image. Last year about this time, I posted an image of one of these little guys. They are smaller than a Ladybug and like to hang out in the Goldenrod flowers where they ambush their prey. Quite often the prey is much much larger than they are. When the Goldenrod came into bloom this year, I looked for them again and although I saw several, I was not able to get another pic until I came across this one. I realize the POV is almost the same as last time but they are so small, it is very difficult to get a clear view from another angle. For those who remember that image, my apologies for repeating myself. For those who missed it, here is a second chance to see a very neat critter. Thanks to those who take the time to comment. Lee

Very kind of the little chap to sit and pose for you like this Lee. I have never seen one of these before, since finding you on RR, I think I have led a very sheltered life. The number of new insects you have shown me is unbelievable and there have been some fantastic ones at that. This is best viewed full size, the detail is fantastic. Just awesome!!

I don't care how many times I see this, it fascinates me every time. It's astonishing how excellent this macro is considering the size of the insect. Heck, it's astonishing no matter WHAT size it is!
