Description

Does anyone recognise this artifacting that appears on reflecting objects? Not on everything and not in every place. I'd love to know what it is and how to fix it. It's a skydome reflecting in the car paint so I'm not sure what's causing it. Any ideas would be welcome.

Are you using a single light source? I've had similar problems on flat surfaces that have been cured by 2 or 3 light sources with only 1 casting shadow. This requires tweeking of colour and brightness but has worked for me.I must admit I do not use skydome as a rule and so don'tknow if this will solve your problem..Nice picture though and the annomoly looks like cooling perforations.Hope this is of some help, good luck and I look forward to seeing the final result.

Unfortunately, I'm using 6 lights. 1 of which is an IBL but thanks for the idea anyways.
