Description

"I remmeber, oh years ago... was it '49... no, winter of '50, I was on a Icebreaker crew working way up, north of the 60th, past the Arctic circle. We was making a run to Baffin, re-supply of the settlement and then north to Alert. I was on the Mid Watch, when we got something on our radar. something was coming up fast on us. Captain thought it might be a Russian Bomber come to start WW 3. I grabbed my Brownie Bullseye, which I kept with me when I was on watch, taking pictures of whales and polar bears. So I grabbed my camera, just as the plane was coming overhead.... then the damndest thing happened. It stopped fast overhead for a minute. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. We were all a little stunned, but I managed to get a picture off before it zipped outa there. After a few minutes we all got our composure back, the Captain called everybody onto the main deck. He told us that if we ever wanted to go to sea again, we should never tell anyone what we'd just seen, they'd never believe us, and we'd be labelled as crazy, no one would ever want to sail with us again. So, we kept quiet. I went down to the ship's darkroom after my watch and developed the picture, made a few prints..... don't know why, just seemed important at the time. After all these years, it feels good to tell someone else about this." Transcribed from a recording of CPO Duncan Zelanzey in the Port Heartland Maritime Retirement home.... It sure does look very cold and that's not the only thing giving the crew the shivers...double whammy ! Kool story to go with this scene, not your average whale shot ! Well done & ~Cheers~ :o)

I watched Larry King Live show featuring people of high standing who've reportedly seen UFO's. I want to see one! Actually, I'd like to hitch a ride. LOL. Very cool image!!

It was 1963, no wait, I think it was 2007. We were sailing outside of Bearing Straits... Oh, maybe not the Bearing Straits, but it was the Florida Keys. Yeah. That's where it happened. Anyway, while fishing for tuna we spotted a floating disc. Of course we failed to have the intaspection to actually photograph it. So you'll have to take my word for it. Anywho..we were abducted by what appeared to be little critters with silver skin and no hair! Imagine that, NO HAIR!! Anywhat, we never spoke about it because we thought we would be locked up for insanity. Did I say "we"? Actually I mean, me. I was alone at that time. I am glad somebody else had the same type of encounter, so others won't think I'm crazy. Our experience was much like yours, except our ship looked more like the one in the "Invaders" T.V. show. Gee, am I rambing? Yes, I'm rambling... Anywhy....
