Description

You can really never go wrong with Hawaiian sunsets...they beg to be photographed, just like an old movie star! I happened to be sitting in the open air lobby bar at the Kea Lani hotel in Maui one evening and the silhouette of the palm trees against the painted sky was rather breathtaking. (The upper left corner is the architecture of the hotel which helps pull your eye back down into the shot.)

Each one of these opening offerings are spectacular on several levels, in my opinion. The colors are very rich and seem to jump out at me. Especially the glacier shot. The highlights in the grass for your sunrise shot lend it a surreal, almost illustrated quality. The composition is top notch in all 4, but I really dig the lines in An Orthodox View. The sunset saturated with color and mood, and makes me crave something with a tiny paper umbrella involved. I really like your work. Welcome!
