Description

My best friend asked me some questions yesterday I had my probs to deal with... Questions like "Is there a special "red thread" you intend to follow with these pictures? Or just experiments that you do with the colours? Do you want to express something?" Well, really "brooding" about that, I finally did this image with a magic iron flower blooming in the twilight of an old graveyard. I think it gave me some answers about myself. YES, I want to play and make experiments with colours - just because colours are so important to me now. After years of grey, I really do appreciate them and sometimes even feel intoxicated by them (so, sorry if I exaggerate from time to time). So... I think I can answer another question of yours. Although I adore b/w pictures, I think I won't do many of them. It's just not "my thing". If you try to find a line - watch out for some "magic". I think we need much more of that in our world. No intentions, no special meaning - only the beauty hiding in everyday life. Remember - you are the one who made me see it again. But thank you for asking...

I would have to say that by looking at this photograph, there is a "magic" about it. It seems to glimmer and glisten, and yet it's not one of those in your face shiny photographs reflecting off the sun...... It's opaque, and very beautiful in it's colour and composition. I love the various shades of mauve and purple that seem to act as a theme throughout. Creates a lot of curiosity and a fair bit of mystery, just gazing at it. Very beautiful artwork!
