Description

One apo flame, found while playing with various scripts piled on top each other, noodling around in the editor thingy with the triangles, flipping numbers and sliders and generally gleefully playing with all the buttons and stuff! Shipped it off to PSP for that little sort of whitish highlight in the eye, that teensy little dot there and the borders and the sig. So. We were sitting around the roaring campfire out at the Hollow, all bundled up and just enjoying the warmth of the fire and sipping hot tea with a little something in it to just, you, know, fortify it a bit. It was a lovely crisp, cold night with a brilliant night sky. The stars were just so incredibley clear, and we heard an owl hooting nearby. It seemed to be in the woods across the road. I got up from the fire to walk a bit closer to where the hooting came from, hoping maybe I could spot it in one of the trees since the moonlight seemed bright enough. I glanced to my right, and there she was! What a beauty flying so close to me, looking right at me, and incredibly, I got a shot of it with my trusty little Apo Camera! I thought I'd share it with you. Such wonderful comments you all left on my previous post, "Dragon's Moon". Each comment is so much appreciated, and so valued. I'm so happy you've all taken time to stop and look. And thanks to all who faved it too, I'm still a bazillion ebots behind, LOL, but I'm chipping away at it, I don't want to miss a single thing!

What a little beauty, Rita! I definitely think that where your Apo camera's concerned, you need to hold fast to that don't leave home without it philosophy, if this is the product! :) Ooo, but an owl hooting on your right? shudder...an omen, a harbinger. As for me, well, I'm thrilled after working with Stacey here at the site last night...who finally got me all straightened out. Just got my first email noti of your posts. Woohoo! Maybe now I won't miss them. Hugs! :)))

OMGosh! This is one of the rare Phantom Faerie Owls! They are always in pastel shades and have been mistaken for willo-the-wisps for many centuries. Excellent capture. Love those Apo cameras. Bunny

Silent flight is what fascinates me most about owls. You were lucky it was hooting, or you would have missed it, moon or no moon. It is a flying owl, no doubt about it.

Amazing flame of what seems to me an owl fresh from another galaxy, and staring at us, poor humans :-) Excellent fractal artwork, Rita!

Oooh my goodness I bet you did a double take when you saw this, you were very brave waiting long enough to capture it on your apo camera. Are you sure this flourescent owl wasn't the result of too much fortifying in the tea. A super find.

Great, Grand, Glorious ! Amazing fractal art creaton Rita!!! -- -- -r . . . opps, well I tried Yes, at 1st I only fished with Apophysis, but so much more can be done with "tweaking the dials", so to speak. Add scripts, season with post work, and have a really skilled artist like, mmmm, three_grrr, and amazing and magical images get created!!!

Owls are my favorite birds--I have collected them for years. Their haunting stare is a powerful feature. Excellent experimentation!
