I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/ÂÂ

Seems like the music has influenced you to reflect on many things... You are so lucky to have been able to go to the performance. Music has long had the power to touch us hasn't it~ I like the DOF in this, the blurred background certainly brings the rocks into prominence. I love the different colors in your balancing rocks... at this point they are almost like characters in a performing troupe~ =)

WOW...I love Tibetan chants as well...I have recordings of the Gyoto Monks (back in Chicago) and I always listened to the entire albums...I could never allow myself to stop listening after just one or two chants...the whole cycle had to play. Anyway, onto the photograph. It's a brilliantly rich piece of work that will probably continue to recontextualize itself as you look at it in the future. It's gorgeously captured, and I like the very vague, and wholly subjective impression of an Easter-Island monolith-type-face in what may be one rock or two--with one just in front of the other. At any rate, I see a vague hint of a stone face, and that just adds to the kinds of things that work in this image, and the things that work in all aspects of visual art. The colors are great, and because of you, I think I'm catching the rock balancing bug!

nods....Clarity of thought. The challenge, always, is maintenance of it, isn't it? My thanks for sharing these insights. And, as always, for sharing the images. Yes, a glorious sort of incongruence here, isn't there. Fitting :) Deepest Namaste, my friend :)
