Perfect focus on the eye!!! If this is the real Pine beetle, it is the one that is currently causing massive destruction to the Canadian Pine forests.

Can beautiful and this bug be used in the same sentence? Its so damn ugly, its beautiful, an excellent macro of this insect I never wish to see(I have a lot of pine in my house)lol. Fantastic clarity and detail, I love macro's of insects and this is going straight in my fav's. Bravo!!!!!
