This image was made by using real war photographs from the websites http://www.gwpda.org/photos/greatwar.htm http://www.greatwar.nl/index.html combined with a photograph of a poppy that I took during the summer. It is my second image inspired by my thoughts about Remembrance day. I am sure most people would join me in wishing that all wars could end, but until they do there will always be those willing to risk their lives to battle for the freedom of the rest of us. This is in remembrance of them, all of them, no matter which side they fought on or which country they came from. A life is a life and each life lost in war is a tragedy for all humanity. This is for those who died, and those who returned physically maimed or mentally scarred by memories that we, who have not fought, can never really understand. May they all rest in peace.
