Description

Hi all, This is another model that I am doing in an app called Sketchup, it is great if you need to do real world measurements. It is dedicated to Koosievantutte as he is showing me how to do this stable through mini tutes so if it looks OK all credits go to him. Unlike stables in paddocks, this is actually in the town, hence the long shape, it will have room inside for stalls on one side, carriages on the other and a loft and living quarters for the groom etc up the top. I think it may also be reffered to as a 'carriage house', feel free to correct me if I am wrong. The project this is from can be seen in the thread below. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2695432&page=1 we are building a dutch village, the thread was kicked off by Conniekat8 and I think I get roped in by Dvlenk6 at about page 11. It is a lot of fun and very educational if anyone is interested in taking a peek or joining in. (there are some fantastic screen shots of the village by Koosie and Dvlenk6 in the last few pages btw) Thanks for any comments and critiques. Now go out and try something new...it is fun, scary but fun. Well....Koosie has sent me the next tute, vertex A joins line D.......a circle there and...Hmmmmm, bye for now. Jen

I don't know anything about the project. Looks interesting However I do know that this kind of architecture (the stairshaped facade or stepped gable) was used in the 16th and early 17th century in the Netherlands. It reappeared only occassionally in the 19th century in attempts to build in a reproduced old style (Victorian style wasn't very influential in the Netherlands, though)

At one time road warriors needed a place for their horse and cart to stay as well as themselves. Even in a small town. I have often speculated in my mind about some barns turned into houses on a street headed by a car dealership in the 50's and about a small barn behind my uncle's house that my cousins and I played in next to Fireman's Park. Google Sketchup is a bit too full of primitive rules for me. Each encryption traps a little bit of yourself.
