Description

This months challenge is "selective color". I took some pictures last week while I was in Lake Tahoe, CA. I saw this wonderful spiral of green going up the trunk of this tree and immediately thought of a selective coloring for it. The great part is the tutorials in the forum for this months challenge. I learned a whole new way to do the process and now I'm going "Hog Wild" wanting to select color everything! So go to the forum and take a look, if you haven't already been there, and try on some "selective coloring" for yourself....... it's fun!!!!

I am so trying to figure this selective coloring out. What I've seen so far is for photoshop and I have Elements 4 which is set up a bit different. I haven't been able to apply the tutorial to my program...but I keep trying. This is an excellent shot with super post work!

very nice. :-) Personaly I might have gone for a slight desaturation of the green in the right half of the image, to bring out the shiny green in the left even more, but that's just me. The DOF and detail might have worked very well without the postwork, but I do like the color change nonetheless. :-)
