Description
While trying to relax in the evening (early morning) after almost two weeks of 12 to 16 hour days I started to play with Laura 3 from DAZ3D. I worked on the character approximately 30 minutes each day give or take.
While tired I at least thought to make a render after every session so that I could compare the progress of this little character. While I do this during scene building this is the first time I thought to apply the concept to character creation. Problably the reason the junk folder is chock full of unfinished characters.
Rebelmommy; I hope you do not take offence that I used a few of your character images as reference for the puffy lips, something I have never done before and now have quite the appreciation for how much work goes into your characters.
Kimi's lips are still not quite right, I think they cause a bit of a curve that doesn't look quite natural just just over her upper lip and lower lip. Several tries to reduce the curve resulted in less full lips which was oposite of what I was trying to accomplish.
I was looking to create an Aiko-ish character and I was surprised that even though Kimi is based on Laura 3 the features I was trying to achieve actually turned out as well as they did.
Kimi's hair is Tufted in Aiko Hair set from DAZ3D. I played with the transmap colors to get the effects you see.
Today, when I should have been at work striving to get a Tuesday deadline tasking completed, I took the time to try and catch up on the ebots. My sincerest apologies to those I have yet to catch.

Well look's like your character is coming along well.. A bit on the youngish side I think, but overall nicely done!! I think the texturing will possibly be the most difficult task yet to come.. But I wish ya luck!!

I think she is really pretty and her lips look great. I know what you mean withn the curve but it's not that unrealistic. Just look at movie stars. Good work with this character!

She's lovely, got a great shape to her face and lips, but I would love to see her in a lighting that brings out her skin more. Wonder, with her dark skin, how she would look in a lighter ligting...pretty good, I bet.

Kimi is absolutely gorgeous as she is, Timu!! I wouldn't change a thing - she's so realistic, and those eyes are really beautiful!! =D Her skin and lips look just right to me - I knew you would be a great character creator - can't believe this is Laura, lol!!
