Description
I managed to obtain some height data in greyscale format for a portion of North Wales and had intended this to be a picture of Mount Snowden in all it's glory.
Unfortunately, I must have had a wrong setting on the software that I got the elevation map from and all data over a certain height was represented by a single shade.
When I did the initial render, it looked as if the Borg had visited and sliced the top of the mountain off leaving it perfectly flat. :-(
So I moved a little further North and did a South-facing view of the Welsh coast looking into the Menai Strait. Bangor would be situated just to the left of centre.
There is a peak on the left which still has a flat top but it wasn't too bad so I've stuck with this view.
It was just something I had to try out.
Thanks for taking the time to look. :-)
