Description

Not a great pic, I don't think, but a sincere title! I will never cease to be amazed by the efforts of so many living things to keep trying, keep blooming, and to continue to grace us just by being here! This dear little rose bud has survived 100km/hr winds today, and a horrendous rainstorm, and I had to dress and prepare for work in a home with no power this am. This dear little bud was greeting my return.......Amazing!

Nice POV and clarity in this shot of the rose bud, a bit battered and weatherworn, but it survived the mighty forces of nature to stay alive. And, please visit my posting of My Rose for today #31 which was uploaded 11/12/07.

Nice picture, great colors, none the worse for wear, or in this case, wind. Todd

You had more wind there than I did here! Wow. We just had a little bit. It makes up for the October 18th windstorm we had here!! Amazing, how flowers will keep blooming even when you think they've given up.

I have many roses now that show these marks...like badges of courage. No matter that they aren't perfect blooms with delicate shapes and tender petals... all that matters is they struggle to bloom, to open, to keep the cycle going as long as possible no matter the weather.

It does look a little battered but its beauty is shining through. Lovely to come home and see its survival.
