Description

Another simple TG2 render ( 19 mins. and 10 secs). I tried to emulate the Southwest territory of New Mexico (Where I have climbed some of it's mountains). I hope you like it and be patient while learning some more of this program. Again... no plants since I still haven't figured out how to "populate". Thanks for looking and thank you all for your support!!!!!

Looks ok, terrain looks pretty good. I might buy TG2 myself some time soon. In fact most of the best TG2 images i've seen are over at Planetsides website.

Great terrain and surfacing!! http://www.designpaths.com/terragen-tutorials/ If you haven't been to this site yet, it has a short and easy tutorial to populate a scene. I do not have it down to a science, but this quick tutorial makes it that much easier. I go back to this website quite often!! Now to figure out how to make plants from scratch in xfrog!!!

You are on a roll; and, its good to see your progress. I like the colors and textures here. For populating, go to your camera and copy the x, y and z numbers. Add these to your population settings except, make the 'y' setting 'zero'. Make sure you've got your altitude and slope settings in the 'distribution' shader (remember to add a distribution shader). You must experiment with scale, spacing and coverage to get what you are looking for.
