BIO
Hi, I am a traditional artist, based in Uk, who has been increasingly attracted towards digital art. I have worked free-lance for over 22 yrs now, doing traditional painting using all the main art media, and am now concentrating on fantasy. I am hoping that I can translate what I have learned from traditional art into digital. I am hoping to produce work rich in atmosphere and lighting and I have , Z-brush, Hexagon, Carrara, Xara Designer and Twisted Brush to help me on my quest. I have drawn for as long as I can remember and was initially terrified of colour but all things are to be conquered. I over came this hurdle when I first used soft pastels. Within the year I had launched myself as a freelance artist (the impetuosity of youth!) and have continued to the present. I have worked with all the main traditional art media but have dabbled with digital along the way with short periods working in CG. I am now totally involved in 3D and digital painting and hope to create some interesting digital works in the future. I am presently working on The World of Skorden and hope to post some renders soon. My website, www.art-of-james-horsler.co.uk , is another area to be updated but hope to do that soon too!

It has taken a while to get here mate but I like it. Thanks for the comments on my work it did take a while to do, hard to get the perspective right so I could show what I wanted.
