Originally I got involved in 3D art to supplement my written work. Now I am writing stories based on my images! Just another sad case of being bitten by the creative bug... Feel free to visit my online den at www.yotnasden.co.uk
BIO
Well I am a scientist turned salesman, so that marks me out as a bit odd. My interests have always revolved around Fantasy and Sci Fi, for as long as I can remember. I blame this on and early addiction to good ole DC comics. Superman has a lot to answer for!
Much of my written work is for mature audiences only, and this has spilt over into my images. This being the case this gallery will only contain the tip of the iceberg (and no tips of other things). I have a life long suspicion of censorship, and feel adult audiences should be free to make their own decision about which legal material to view or read.
When I'm not stuck on the PC I'm relaxing (something I excel at!) with my wife and grown up sons. Or listening to rock music, or worse still playing badly on the electric guitar ;)
Oh and I was once told I was perfect for a Morris dancing troupe... No, I didn't join but it explains the picture.... I shudder to think what that revelation says about my personality.
Oh, I am also unashamedly English.
So yes, I like Cricket; Oh no, I love it!

And so... the light appears in front of her. Would she and the building not be casting shadows behind/beside her and the building? I like this alot.. a way cool scene.

If it is morning and hopeful/fresh I would depend heavier on more directional light of very light blue/yellow (as in real life) and longer, more pronounced shadows, and a sky that is not cloudy. You can of course use fill light so that shadows aren't nasty blobs. The cloudiness tends to darken the mood for me. Finally, I might say that rethinking the angle/blocking of the scene would also have an effect. Fresh & hopeful at a grave site is a tough one, even for me (and I find Voodoo imagery uplifting) I will say I really like the way it is coming, but since you asked for it, there it is.

Hi, Useful comments all, one issue I am finding as an adopter of HDRI is whist it give great looking images it 'diffuses away and shadowing. I will lower and shift the lighting effects - Back soon with an update. Oh, and yeah a cheerful grave scene - I pick my subjects well :)

the lighting seems a little odd, when looking at the scene it feels a kind of artificial or perhaps sterile... maybe the light might be softened or turned slightly yeallowish, the sun might be shown or at least insinuated I find the girl's shapes really nice, looks like you found a really good reference (btw does it come from www.female-anatomy-for-artist.com ?) should the scene be relived a little from its darker mood, you might clear a little those menacing skies... well or put some dancing mice on the graves :-) or both

Hi ekim Nope the pose is an unmodified pose for V4 in Poser - getting the clothes to behave - now that was more problematical I decided against the dancing mice - but it was a close run thing :)

I think you did a good job with the lighting and atmosphere you were trying to get here Yotna. Going to refrain from further critique because that drives me nuts LOL. Nice work!
