Description
Hey everyone, this is my first attempt to upload. I'm fairly new to this 3d world and the only program I have so far is DAZ3D. I couldn't do lighting or shading 'cause of my so-called "good" graphics card (ATI RADEON 9200) which doesn't support GLSL (whatever that is) and any lights make my models cartoonish. Any suggestions?
The imagination here are three modern faeries (mom & two daughters) livin' in a modern home with modern equipment and fancy wall/furniture textures. Mom's waiting for Dad while Amanda & Ashley are lazin' around playing with their kitties. Wings? Don't need 'em anymore, they got a kewl car sitting outside! Couldn't resist givin' 'em the cute kitties!
Too much things I used to remember all I should give credit too, but I'll try naming a few... Modern furniture, DH living room, Faeriedreams dress by Thorne, PrettyNights top & bottom & large speakers by Pretty3D, ZeniaV4 dress, & I forgot where the car & background came from. "Fire" paintings on furniture, walls, clothing by me =)
Hope ya like!

Not a bad start ... Did you try to change the render settings (general part) to software render? That should bring you shadows ... and the lights: I think it's try and error to begin with (o:

wonderful scene and lots of great detail. I agree with cauchy, change the render settings to software, and the rest should fall in place, also you might want to see if there are any updates for your graphics card drivers that could help, but dont quote me on that because, I've heard good and bad on updating drivers, lol. anyway, I love the scene, great job! and welcome to the galleries

Nice props and great composition. About the shadows - agree with the above: Use software rendered (3Delight). Each light must have their shadow set to either shadow map or raytracing.

Thanks guy for the comments and help! After learning quite a bit, I'm thinking of redoing this scene and adding appropriate things such as shadows, skin shaders, etc... ...wolfie
