Description

Snow is 2-3 weeks late this year for my region/altitude, but it finally made its appearance this week both blanketing the surrounding mountains and flurrying on my town. However this particular photo was taken from Cle Elum, looking at Peoh Point. ©2007, Windchime Photography. This shot also shows the place where "Cle Elum from Peoh Point" was taken after a hike to the radio towers on the very top of the mountain.

The snow and cold from the north wind is a quiet visitor who often overstays his welcome. :-) This is a nice shot...it conveys the weather perfectly.

You drive most of the way up dirt forest service roads on the backface of Peoh, then hike in about a mile and a half with a few more hundred feet elevation gain on a well-maintained gravel path. So not really that bad, at least until the last section which climbs like a (censored). ;-)

I know for a fact that this shot over the last several years would have been three weeks ago and a shot taken on the same day over the last several years would show more snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!
