Description

The first of a series from my A Level art exam - I finally got my paws on the original digital files! This is the dawning of an era - the era of pre-concious thought... For this project I was exploring philosophy in photography, and many of my pictures were about shattering epistemic distance, or breaking the barrier between realities. This series aims to capture the conciousness awakening and the seam between the subject and the deity being torn. The angle and perspective try to suggest a higher force, a god aware of the subject, but the subject is not aware of the deity yet. Thanks for looking x Cosmic

excellent use of a limited color palette..Moving into the more blue-ish spectrum will usually tend to give an image a "colder" feel, which works quite well here. I like the sense of isolation as well..Just a few thought..perhaps you could have cropped a little more off of the top, to only show the grass..I also wonder if a lower angle point of view might have worked..Very well done..

Dude - stunning image. I think you nailed that one on the head after reading the explanation. Just had a play with scrolling to crop the top and i have to agree with Bruce about the grass only - the glare is enough to realise perspective with the deity, you dont need the background imo. Just a thought tho, as it was an A-level project i'm sure you thought of different crops etc.
