Description

................... A boy catches a glimpse of his future. in the bloodied face of his brother's corpse. lying in an alley next to his house. He was on his way to school. Well. He was on his way somewhere. This boy, afflicted at the age of six with post-war syndrome. The stress of poverty causes brain damage. Such, that he is robbed of a chance he'll ever have a meaningful human relationship. In this Dog-Eat-Dog world, he will be well trained. ....one more lost. ...one more added to the growing numbers. ~yO

Your painting is poignant and heart-breaking, while being a wonderful work of art. I know the tragedy. A loved one has PTSD from his countries civil war. Children saw/see horrible things, suffer to this day the effects of poverty, and the once government offenders are now drug trafficing, mafia like gangs that hold neighborhoods captive of extortion, violence and murder. These same gangs have gone international, and may be in Boston now. To save the children, whole cultures, throughout the world, must change. We start in our own family and neighborhood.

Remarkable, you show all these broken pieces of us, one by one, like shards of guilt in our hearts. Just thinking, how much non-dogs does it need to let it go on like this? Truly thought provoking work and as always, something memorable about 'us'. Thank you yO!

A beautiful piece dedicated to the disgust of war. I like how you chose to portray this and the use of words. Another stunning image; thought provoking.
