Description

This is my Mini Yellow Rose...It has been here since I have moved in this house 9 years ago..I have no idea of it's name..I know it bloomed up until Wed of last week...That week it 9 buds on it...Day before yesterday it had 1...I only know it has bought me joy in these gloomy days now that we have set the clock back and it gets dark at 5pm which I do not like at all....I will miss this beauty...I also have a red mini rose I have to post that bloomed all of last week as well and a pink primrose...Can't beleive it and we have had 2 frost and they just kept on blooming..sadly this was the last of the crop...I will miss looking out my window and seeing that cheerful bloom that brightened my gloomy days... I see where my sis Medley and PJ and others are still posting flower shots so had to add one of mine... Added one step fix photo...adjusted brightness, contrast...and added border and frame...All post work done in PSP 9...did not add text didn't think pink would look so good with yellow LOL.. I am feeling some better...I did get sick last week from chemo...was suppose to see the Oncologist 12th but he won't be back now until Dec 12th..they wanted me to see his associate...I said no way he knows nothing of my condition plus I got a bone to pick with about the nurses and they way I was treated..Not telling this to any associate...would any of you all...I am some better but this cold makes me ache...And we got our first flakes of snow today....People winter is definitely here....and I want warm weather..the 80's would suit me just fine..I guess I am gonna have to eat more and get some meat on my bones where I won't get cold so easy...he he not an easy task when I have been a skinny minnie all my life... Any and all comments are most appreciated... I wish you all a happy forthcomming weekend ahead Hugs Susan~

This is so delicate and lovely, and quite a little fighter for blooming in such cold weather. It's chilly here, too, in the 30's. Burrrrrrrrr. Winter is on the way. :o) CC

Hey there........I know so little about post-work, but at least I'm starting to recognise when there has been some! I don't know what you did with this, Sue, but you have given it a sort of misty and ethereal quality that I really like. It's like staring through a thin cloud, and finding the beauty you want/need/search for is right there............THAT'S why it's a fav!

This is a beautifully done reminder for us to place in our "memory bank" to get us through the winter and keep us cheered until spring arrives. You have given us a wonderful gift. I don't blame you for wanting to see your regular doctor so that you can give him a piece of your mind ...and point out to him all your RR friends agree with you!

Somehow these guys keep surviving the hard cold winters and lean dark days, just to come back to full life in the following spring. It's natures way of giving us hope. Great pic Susan. Get feeling better soon so we can get your Bryce under way. Hugs from Dave :^)

This is so lovely Susan and like you say, it is sad to see them finally ending. I know I have a few red mini roses and also a few yellow and white ones out in my backyard and they where still looking wonderful up to the day before yesterday, but now we are in a real chill here and winter is arriving, with wet snow flurries promised...yuck! And like you, I hate when it gets so dark by 4:30 these past afternoons and I have to turn lights on and close my window blinds; it makes the nights so long. Thanks for your update - you are such a strong fighter (even though you are a skinny minny)!!

It's one of those "ray of sunshine" type of roses. I used to have a yellow miniature, but we had to take it out of our garden. I was intending on replacing it, one of these days. We did replace one with an antique white miniature. We have all miniatures in our frontyard, and that one, gigantic bush in the back. Take care, and hope you're doing better for a long, long time! :o)

Beautiful Susan. My favorite rose color is yellow. I use to have this beautiful yellow rose bush out back but the year my house got struck by lightening that rose bush died and I've never found another like it. Don't know what it was called either. I am glad your feeling better. I'm starting to feel better myself. When I get those migraines that last a week they leave me so drained. It takes a few days to recover. Beautiful dreamy effect on the rose. 5+

Well, I'm sure you know by now I am a huge fan of the yellow rose - in any size. This bud is just a gorgeous thing... I can see the rich hue in this. I am sad you have seen the end of your blooms though. I walked out this morning and saw my yellow rose bush along the front fence and it is so heavy with flowers the stems were bending all the way to the ground. The bright yellow agains the dark green leaves in the early morning light is so magical. I hate hearing you are feeling so rough. But I agree you need to talk to your regular doctor and not the "stand-in." Still, I keep thinking that if you saw someone, maybe you could get something to help settle your stomach and give you a bit more strength. After all, Thanksgiving is not too far away and you have to be able to eat your weight in turkey. LOL!
