Description

I love 'paperwhites'! These narcissi arrive with Winter, and always remind me that Spring will follow. Their lovely scent can perfume a home, and their delicate form can please the eye for weeks. I especially like the almost silvery sparkles on the petals. Enjoy, and thanks for visiting. Perhaps the full sized view will 'sparkle' for you.

I wondered for a second if anyone still called them Paperwhites and then - bam - I saw your comment. :-) These were one of those flowers we had in Ohio. I think they do well in cooler climates. So very lovely... comfy capture.

Although somewhat out of focus, still a nice capture of the flower bed of white narcissi flowers in November. Narcissi lily plants, which have narcotic properties, must be the plural of narcissus, i.e., self-love, excessive inerest in one's own appearance, comfort, importance, abilities, etc.

The only white we see in winter around here is snow! I wish we had something like that to look at instead! Very Pretty Picture!!

I love paperwhites, but don't usually see them so early! (Late?) I seem to recall seeing forced narcissus in January and February. Either way, they're just beautiful!!
