Description

A pair of long-duration survey ships have taken position nearby an area of active-accretion into a proto-star. While this certainly is an excellent opportunity to observe the process of star-formation, it also is a rather dangerous place to spend too much time. Still the stunning beauty of the place is a lure that is impossible for these scientists to ignore. The title came from one of the captain's logs: "Perhaps the regimented demands of routine travel can make it easy to forget, but even the most jaded eye cannot help but be shaken by the undeniable poetry of such a space." Ship models and textures created in Bryce 5.5, while the starscape and accretion-mass were all created in Photoshop through use of the plug-ins Glitterato and Lunarcell, and extensive use of layers. Super Sci-Fi art with amazing nebular space background and your own finely crafted spaceship models, excellent art and an enjoyable viewing experience!!! The only way I have to make a space background a bit like the excellent one here is to use PovRay, so I salute your Photoshop skills too!
