Description

Taking a break from my Unreal 3 video game mod character and switching over to an older video game. I dont know if anyone remembers the old real time strategy game Myth: The Fallen Lords, but that was one of my favorite games back in the day. Angry dwarves, archers, Wights, and Thrall blowing up & dismembering each other. An awesome game in its time. I wish Bungie would come out with another one instead of churning out Halo games like they're going out of style. One of my favorite characters was the Fetch, who would totally destroy everyones asses with a bolt of lighting. Awesome and annoying at the same time. So after scouring the internet, this is the only reference image I could come up with. Since the original game characters were pre-polygon sprites, and the sketch is over 10 years old and lacking detail, this is kinda my own 3D interpretation of the character. The base meshes were modeled in Maya. Face count is 6742 for the body, a little under 9600 total when you add in horns, eyes, teeth, and pants. Im not entirely happy with the pants though. I may just remodel them into something like the skirt thing he's wearing if I dont like how the pants are turning out. I think Im going to add a tied off belt or some kinda of hanging fabric off his waist to make it look a little less like he's wearing a huge baggy pair of JNCO's or something. I dunno, give me some suggestions.

Its all mapped already. Chain mail? I imagine that be waaay harder to map than cloth? UV mapping the pants took me all of 10 minutes.
