Description

I was coming home for a while from work, to find these 3 beautiful deer eating from the apple trees in our front yard ... This particular day, I rushed upstairs to grab my camera and made it back to find them still there; I dared not get too close for fear they'd run, so I used the 300mm lens on this one. They would hear the clicking of my camera, look up like this for a minute, then continue eating; till they'd hear the next click. They were so beautiful. It would have been nice to get right in their face so I could capture their rich brown eyes. But this is all they would allow. :) Thanks for stopping; I hope you have a great day. Shari

Very nice! There really is nothing quite like a wild animal enjoying your yard (just as long as they stay out of the house). Well done. Thanks for sharing.

There you go, you're making me hungry again! But I can't decide if it's venison flanks in balsamic cider, or just an apple pie. They're darn cute.

How lucky are you? to have deer in your orchard, to have an orchard even. Can't you turn the sound of your camera off? I can set mine to have shutter sound or no shutter sound. I found this out quite by accident scanning through the menu(I don't do manuals much). Check it out this day and age with digital they should all have this in the menu. It's great for candids you can take pictures and nobody knows a thing about it. Fantastic shot Shari, even if it was through the long lens, deer are very skittish and run at the slightest sound. I bet the arenalin was pumping so hard you could hear that. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
