Description

this is for jeff as i know he likes old things :o).. well so much for it being fine weather this weekend ,the wind is howling and just for a change its raining. we went out last night for a meal the whole family which meant there was about 40 of us, as its year since june`s sister passed away and 2 years since my mum ,so we decided to all get together and have a meal .a great night no television computers or game players just good old fashion conversation and a laugh and i for one thoughourly enjoyed it and i dont drink alcohol so the others will have have lol :o) this pic is the last in my rr folder so if the rain does`nt stop i will have to look for some more to post :o)...this was taken at beamish earlier this year i`ve only changed it from colour to b/w or sepia i can`nt remember now lol this horse and carriage was outside the pub waiting hence i titled this taxi thanks for all your support and comments have a great sunday and i feel much better this morning :o)

outstanding capture and the sepia sets the time frame. better to enjoy one's family because who knows what tomorrow will bring. I seldom see my siblings because of long distance.

This is a stunning capture, Mick. Love the sepia tone, so very Lovely. Glad you had a good family night out and enjoyed it. Know how you are feeling with the weather, it is bad here too. Not taken a shot in a while either. We will have to ask Jeff for some of his sunshine. Great work from you, Mick. Hugs. Di. xx

Wow Thanks for the dedication Mick, yes I do like old things, even though I am quite a modern man, I bought my first computer in 1979, I took it home put it on the table and told my three children, 'I want you to learn how to work this, because it is the language of the future'. I wasn't wrong. I also like to learn how things were done in victorian times and this open air Museum Beamish is a wonderful place to spend a day. I wish I had been more in to photography when I visited here myself, a few years ago. Excellent shot Mick, I must try and get back up there. I love this and it could well have been the 'taxi' fore runner the 'Hackney carriage'. If I do get back up to Beamish I will have to try and have a ride in this. Fantastic shot and postwork. Bravo!!!!!

Great "back in time" shot Mick, you've done good with the old Sepia, and a nice dedi to Jeff. This is certainly one place I must vist.(another one) Jeff has told me a bit about this place. I've not uploaded today. Back late from Haworth West Yorkshire. Special Theme Day.
