Description

Well, our first snow today. Not much, but a covering on the ground. As much as I find winter trying, I like to do winter scenes. The problem is I find they all look very much the same and no WOW!! What am I missing Pete? There is always a WOW factor in your renders ;}} Thanks to tablesaw again for freebies, bennetor for birds and thanks for stopping by.

Great work! I really love winter scenes, gives me a strange sense of serenity. Where are the ducks to feed? :) Really well done. Cheers!

I have the same problem with photos, Susan--AND renders. There is no color in winter; it's a black and white world. If you find an answer, please share! LOL! This looks great though--very realistic!

hello Susan, i will attempt, to give you a few tips and write it under your picture so that other people can also read it. you succeeded in the winter atmosphere very well. the problem is, believes me it is also my problem, it is always very much difficult to find the correct scaling and placement of the objects. i mean the house in the background here, it is very much close onto the edge of the picture. it might stand to the left of the foreground tree and would have to be a little smaller, in the same way the fence. i think, the house is the eye catcher for the depth and that should not be covered by the foreground tree. in the same way something is not right with the scaling between the house, the trees and the cliff. i would make the trees a little smaller, i think it brings more depth into the scene. i do not know what i could say to you anymore, except for that you should look again and again on your work, and ask you again and again, goes my eyes fluently above the scene or sticks it somewhere. have an amount of patience and let you time, the rest comes by itself. i hope, i could help you a little bit. best regards Pete
