Description

Captured 7/28/07 around 7 AM, about .7 of a mile/1.127 kilometers from my dwelling. Okay, I know you've all been eagerly waiting with bated breath for the answer as to the identity of yesterday's Mesh #1, so here it is, in all its mysterious esoteric glory. Featured above is the same mesh, with camera pulled back and object seen at a distance....an outside patio metal tabletop from a local Starbucks Coffee shop! Yes, I know, quite a surprise to you all. But that's what makes this exercise so intriguing. Incidentally, the supporting leg structure can be easily detected beneath the tabletop. There are several of these tables and chairs sitting on pavement outside this particular restaurant/shop. And, they are each linked by chain to the pavement to prevent theft. BTW, there are three Starbucks shops in this city of approximately 106,000 inhabitants. I had to grin at the confessional guess. In my case, not being Catholic, nor even religious, that would have to be way down at the bottom on the list of possibilities. Nice try, anyway. Thanks for the weekend visits, y'all!

We used to have a table just like this! This is an awesome discovery. It looks so pretty when they are new. We still have that table, but it's all rusted, now. :o)

I have been wondering all this time what it was and now I know LOL Another great and creative capture from you, and I just wondered what the proprietors of Starbuck's think to you taking pics of their tables? Hmmm the mind boggles :o) hugs Jane xx

You tricky guy! I could not guess it right for sure. You know what I like in this shot?...a shine on a top, somehow reminds me of hot summer days on a beach. Lovely tones as well. Good play Harry!

Wonderful! You had me totally fooled. The beauty of the first shot is that there is no scale. It's just pure shape and light. Excellent work, my friend!

I still say a strainer... I'd be perfectly happy to dump my pasta on this to drain it. :-)
