A bothy is a shelter for estate workers and is sometimes left unlocked for hillwalkers .

Oh that's lovely..an instant fav ;-) There is a story of a friend of ours from years ago...last heard of terrifying people for using "his chair" in a bothy he'd taken up residence in.
