Nice image, well composed and seemingly well exposed, although it looks like in some way you tried to recover a blown sky and it shows with the intense halo you have achieved. That or what i am thinking (due to the ghosting on the left) you tried your hand at HDR ;) Thus you have hit upon the main reason why i hated using HDR for my shot from Westonbirt - trees are very bad subjects as doing an hdr inevitably leads to a bad halo :( You could try using one exposure for the ground and one for the sky and merging them in photoshop, or try out Shadow/highlight on a 16 bit TIFF on your average exposure. All of them are compromises for a scene which will require a good deal of patience and postwork to get without the halo ;)

This is superb. I don't really know what post work you have done, but I love it! Reminds me of photos of old, where the colours are painted on to a B/W photography.
