Another good shot. I like the rows of Wagons lined up in the distant background. What are these things stacked up Mick ?, here along the middle ground.

Nice shot reminds me of the model train museums we used to visit when we were kids. Lol i knew you would enjoy yourself at the Metro Centre don't blame you not wanting to drive up but 12 hours on train least you get to walk around lol.

Re: Alans Q. They look like short sections of rail made up to slot into place but I have never seen them as short as this, was it Redcar that made the fish plates Mick? Its a long time ago since I was up there, I used to deliver 6 foot diameter circular saws to the hot end and cold saws at the other. This brings back quite a few memories form the late 70's and early 80's. Great shot. Bravo!!!!!

Wonderful view! They just removed the train tracks through our town, and that's sorta good, and sorta bad. It is the end of an era, and I grew up with those trains coming through laden with fruits and vegetables during harvest. We still have trains and their tracks, but they are further away, and more likely carrying new cars and stuff like that. :o)

Very nice capture of the train yard Mick! and i remember before you telling me you had a cool train program on the PC :) I happen to love trains as well.. the sound of them across town in the wee hours blaring their horns is a soothing sound to me. knowing that tons of steel is rolling over tracks with shipments of automobiles, housegoods, etc is a neat feeling! have a great night my best uk bud!
