Description

Late afternoon the day after Thanksgiving at Shelby Forest, just north of Memphis, Tennessee. It was unusually cold - at least what would be considered cold for around these parts (somewhere in the upper 30's). There was still an abundance of color in the leaves, although with this silhouetted sunset you can’t really tell. After hitting 100 degrees (F) the majority of the days here last August, the afternoon hike to the lake with the temperature going down as fast as the sun seemed more like a trek to the Siberian highlands. But the change is just in time for the holidays, so no complaints from us! marshall
