Description

This one reminded me of a hybrid rose plant that we used to have at our first house. The petals were creamy/yellow while the edges gently gave way to a flirty pink shade. The roses were quite large and absolutely beautiful... and the perfume was soft and sweet. I can't remember the name of the species... although I'll bet that some of you expert gardeners will know the one I'm describing ... :) Thanks so much for the comments (and favs!..wow... you guys are spoiling me!) y'all left under "Fruity Fusion Fizz". My sincere gratitude for each and every keystroke! Probably no one tried to say it ten times really fast... except, maybe, Gary... but he's used to challenges of that sort... lol! I've been singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" all day... not sure why since I'm Canadian... but I love that song... love the lyrics and the way it changes octaves in wonderful ways. I did a little research and was surprised to find out that there are actually three more stanzas to it. It was taken from a poem written in 1814 by Francis Scott Key, a 35 year old amateur poet. Makes me think there's hope for struggling, amateur UF dabblers like me after all ... ;) Thank you for pulling over to have a look at this one! Hugs! Helen :)

When I go to hockey games they sometimes sing both the Canadian and the American anthems; O Canada seems a lot easier to sing (and usually to listen to)! Blush; a great title for this image, the perefect touch of pink among the yellows and whites. Lovely work!
