Description

La Conner is a really fun town to visit, this is the bridge that takes me there... I've included some info about this quaint little town...enjoy... La Conner, Washington La Conner is a delightful and unique community located on the Swinomish Channel Whatever your interests, the charming destination of La Conner is sure to capture your imagination and your heart.just about an hours drive southwest of Bellingham. It more than lives up to the many awards it has received over the past few years as the most undiscovered, exciting, and romantic small town in Washington State. To the east of town there is a picture perfect view of majestic Mount Baker and the fertile fields of the Skagit Valley. If you wander down the main street you will encounter many charming gift and antique shops, art galleries, and fine restaurants. It explodes in the spring with row upon row of brilliantly colored daffodils, tulips, and irises. The channel is a popular destination for boats and yachts of all sizes and vintages. Relax at an outdoor cafe and watch the activity on the water, or set off on a kayaking or whale-watching excursion from the local docks. Wander down the main street and you will encounter many charming gift and antique shops, art galleries, and fine restaurants. The community is home to many artists and artisans whose work reflects a Northwest culture influenced by rich history, stunning natural surroundings, and Coastal Native American traditions. Walk through the Museum of Northwest Art or the respected La Conner Quilt Museum and you will immediately be inspired by the energy and creativity that has always been characteristic of area inhabitants. Whatever your interests, the charming destination of La Conner, Washington is sure to capture your imagination and your heart.

That bright orange bridge and the blue sky makes for one pretty photo. I've been through La Conner once but we were in a hurry to get home and didn't stop. Maybe next time we won't be in such a hurry and we can stop and enjoy the town.

What a great idea to share your capture of this bridge. It makes us curious to know what's on the other side. Beautiful capture of it, as well, Akemi. So crisp and clean, and I absolutely love the colors! This could easily be a postcard for La Conner. Thank you for sharing this wonderful destination with us. I would never have known about it, if it wasn't for you! Hugs and schtuff-M :^)

Nice perspective. The POV definitely adds to the feeling of something you are going to since you can see nothing on the near side of the bridge but can catch glimpses everywhere of the far side through the bridge's structure.

Gomenasai...I'm getting really bad about not commenting and have found myself hopelessly behind. I will slowly get to as many as possible so forgive my late commenting. Very intersting design going on here Akemi-san, and from this POV it really makes this have the wow factor. I hope someday to cruise the great Northwest and see this bridge...Very Kewl! Aloha~
