BIOI was born in Russia and lived in S. Petersburg for 60 years. Most of my career spent teaching at the Marine Engineering University. Since 2000 have been living in Regensburg (Germany) with my wife and daughter. I began taking pictures in 2003 and almost all my photos have been taken around Regensburg. Music and long walks in nature are my pet likes.
Have joined Rendero in 2003 and have met a lot of wonderful people here. Allways enjoy the beautiful works by so many excellent artists and have got lots of inspiration by theirs works.

Greetings Valentin, I see excellent lumber with tongue and groove workmanship that is sadly going to waste since now construction is different. So in many ways it is sad to see this barn in neglect and falling apart when it should be salvaged, or at least the wood saved for something else other than going to waste. Have a great week and thank you for sharing. egmont

Valentin, this image just brings back memories. You created an excellent atmosphere. In the early days after WWII that wood wouldn't have stayed there very long before it was stolen for firewood,Sig...

So sad to see this old barn in such a state, dear Valentin. Some beautiful old timbers in its construction. Your shot is superb and has a forlorn mood to it. Have a wonderful night. Hugs. Di. xx

A very beautiful image! And also I agree with Egmont; that building has a very interesting wood structure!!!

How brave you are to get in so close to this but, oh, what a great shot!

many restaurants will recycle old timbers like these and use them as decor.with the price of new wood, it can be a bargain.seems many of us have a desire to see the damage that fire will do. luckily it was only a barn and not someone's home.excellent work Valentin

Another thoughtful capture, Valentin. The timber looks sound. It should be recycled. Perhaps it is inacessible to a lorry. A wood carver would use the wood for sculpture. House builders would use it to renovate old houses. It calls out for help. Can you not hear it? Regards, John.
