Description
There's a breed of women that have been going extinct since they fell into being. Primal and powerful; they're not quite of this earth. They are flesh and bone bound together with cosmic dust. Their hearts march to a rhythm that's as old as time itself. Their eyes, like pools of water, are imbued with mystical light - sees past the thin veil to separate truth from the riptide of lies.
Through the merciless wail of time they dwell in haunted places barely perceptible to the third eye; living each day as it were a gift unfolding and reality is a dream to wake from.
To them the call of spectral voices is a familiar song whose drafts reveal secrets and dangers previously unseen. Tired of the constant cycles of death and rebirth, sick of man's insatiable thirst for greed, power and infliction of misery and pain; their gypsy souls longed to shed the confines of mortal skin...in the process their bodies were transformed into this...cold stone. But their undying spirits, at long last, are free to roam.

OK,, so I broke the mood... when I read the title I immediately thought to myself... "about a man named Jed - a poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed ..." I'm just not with it today... but you are! This is a great shot and your comment is very deep...even if I'm not. :-)
